Selene rested her head on his shoulder and watched what he was beginning to write. She saw him right that he might be busy, and her heart sank. She should have known that he would have other plans. But then with the next part she smiled to herself and took the pad from him, giving him a fake mean look, that wasn't very convincing.
You do have friends, at least me for sure. And I wouldn't want to do anything without you tomorrow either.
Smiling to herself, she tapped the pen on her leg as she thought about what they could do tomorrow.
How about we take a walk somewhere? It could be just around the school, or maybe even to Clarkston. Does that sound ok? She wrote then handed it back up to him with a smile on her face.
Settling her head back onto his shoulder, she lightly kissed the exposed part of his skin that was closest to her on his neck. She then cuddled up with him, letting herself warm up as she closed her eyes, listening to him breathe.

He smiled, not that he wasn't already smiling, glad that she wasn't just teasing him with deciding to maybe include him in plans she already had. They were making plans now. And at this point, he realized he should take him self-confidence more seriously. She was very in to him. Selene was probably as in to Zander as Zander was to her: completely infatuated.
She offered to take a walk somewhere, maybe to Clarkston. He raised his eyebrows at her for a moment and wrote back. I've got a place I'd like to show you, if you don't mind. It's in the general vicinity of Clarkston... just not a place most people know.
He held it for a second, thinking of something to add, when her head settled onto his shoulder, and she kissed his neck. He felt all hot and cold at the same time and in some odd way his ears perked up like an excited dog.
He draped one arm around her shoulder and with the other one, added in an even more untidy scrawl. I'm going to assume you're not afraid of being alone with me.

Selene looked down at the pad as Zander handed it back to her. She wasn't sure why, but when he said he had a place to show her, it made her feel warm inside. She wasn't used to anyone sharing anything special with her, but Zander wasn't like anyone else.
She then laughed lightly at the last sentence he wrote. She had never felt more comfortable with someone, and she was no where near afraid of being alone with him.
I would love to go there, as long as I am with you I know I will have a good time tomorrow. She wrote quickly, then paused as she tried to think of what to write about his last sentence. And believe me, I am definitely not afraid of being alone with you. Personally, I prefer it this way.
Gazing up at him, she smiled then laid the pad back on his lap.

She would love to go there with him, she said, she knew she'd have a godo time with him. She also preferred being alone with him. He felt heated, even though it was a little chilly in this forest clearing. He felt all warm being so close to her. Zander couldn't help but hope the same feeling was keeping her warm too, but by the way she was acting... it did.
How she preferred being alone with him, though, struck him as really awesome for them. He knew he liked being alone with her more than almost anything, because he could hardly remember being so happy in his life. Then again, his brain functions weren't completely up to par right now. But still... something about forgetting eeryone else in the world, their thoughts and their opinions, just made this specialer.

That's good, because with you, I could forget the rest of the world... he wrote back to her, in possibly his most legible handwriting all night. Though it wasn't intentional, it was sort of like.. he was sure of this, he was making no mistakes. ... but the world does still exist, and it's probably in the process of going from late to early.
He was suddenly aware of how long they'd been there. Zander had no sense of time, and thus couldn't be sure it was even past midnight, but something made him question it.. like, maybe it's almost tomorrow, and though you haven't left her, maybe it's almost time to see her again. Weird. Smitten.

As Selene cuddled up to Zander, she thought about how lucky she must be to have met someone like him. The two of them had more chemistry that she had ever even seen between other couples she knew, and that was saying something for two people who hadn't verbally spoken a word to each other.
Looking down at the pad, she felt her body go warm as she read his first line. He said that with her he could forget the rest of the world. She felt exactly the same way, in fact she had forgotten about the rest of the world. For the last couple of hours all she had thought about was him.
When she read the last thing he had written, she instinctively looked around. It was still dark outside, but there was definitely something about it that told her it was getting close to morning, and the two of them had been talking for longer than she had known. Looking up at him, she frowned a little, but knew that the two of them wouldn't have to part ways until the common room, and she would be seeing him again in only a matter of hours.
I think you are right, we should probably be getting back before the sun comes up... or worse, we get caught . She wrote sighing to herself. Zander, this had been the most incredible night of my life.
With bright eyes, she handed him the pad, but before he could read it, she leaned in crashing her lips onto his. This night had been amazing and she didn't want it to end.

Chemistry. Now there was a word that didn't go through Zander's head at all, ever. Everything was awkward for him, and that was his way. He was that weird kid, never said a word to anyone. Took a vow of silence, and had that tattooed on his arm in permanent ink. Charmed his quill like a Muggle pen. Had hair all over his face. Couldn't hold a conversation, didn't have any friends, but he wasn't really a loswer either.
But this thing they call chemistry, the sort of potions element that made some things mix together to form love potions and others to blow up in your face. That he saw, that he understood now, and that he imagined. floating in the extremely small spaces between he and Selene, between their bodies, between their hearts, and between their minds.
But their togetherness had to end. He knew he would lie in bed and either sleep like a baby or not sleep at all, comforted into submissiveness by the memories of what just happened and the anticipation of tomorrow. He also knew he'd rather just wait for tomorrow here. Furthermore, Zander knew that wasn't possible, and for the first time, wanted to curse Hogwarts for all its worth because of its dumb rules.
The pad fell on his lap, but his eyes didn't have time to focus before they were closing and Selene's lips were on top of his. This is wonderful... he thought. He pulled apart and just held her, hugged her. Forget the pad. Forget the rules. Stay here. No. Keep your head, Zander Carver, and you'll get to see her soon. She claimed a need to leave, as he had mentioned. But this had been the most incredible night of her life?
This has been the most incredible night of my life, too. I lov Wait, stop it, Zander, what are you doing? You don't know what love is. You don't know if you love her. You don't know if this feeling will even go away by the morning. He semi-frantically crossed out the letters he had written, and continued on differently. You're an incredible person.

When Zander held onto her, Selene felt as if the two of them could just stay like this forever. She loved being with him, she loved the feel of his arms around her, she loved..... him. I Love him She said to herself, not sure why she had suddenly came to the conclusion. She had never been in love before, and even though she wasn't sure what exactly love felt like, she had a feeling it was what Zander made her feel. She just gazed out into the night as she thought about this, wondering what to do about it. Pav had just told her that her boyfriend said he loved her, and she didn't want to be pressured into that. Selene didn't want to creep Zander out by saying it, so she decided to keep that information to herself, at least for the time being.
When she looked down at the pad she smiled. It was the most wonderful night of his life too, and if he felt anything like she did, he wasn't even tired. Being with Zander somehow made her feel more energetic than ever before. She noticed that he had scratched something out, and found it a little mysterious, like she wanted to know what he was going to say. Then as she looked up at him, she forgot everything instantly. He had a way about him that always made her forget about everything else.
I know we need to go, but I really don't want to. I just want to stay out here with you Zander. She wrote then handed the pad to him as she gazed into his eyes, then back at the sky.
